01.03.2010 - Dungeon-2-Remember
"Get
up!" - the elf came slowly to.
What's going on? What happened?
The rough voice growled once more: "I said get up, damn pointy eared elf
brood! What is this eldritch sorcery? Speak!"
The elf opened his eyes. He was lying on a floor. A cellar perhaps?
Where am I?
A stout dwarf loomed before the elf, cocked crossbow at the ready: "Get
up already, you sylvan tree hugger and tell me exactly what's going on
here!"
Who is this dwarf? And what does he want?
The dwarf bellowed: "And who are these maggots?", pointing to the other
figures on the floor.
Who are these people? What am I doing here? What strange game is
being played?
Well, it's the fifth Dungeon-to-Go. This time for wholly unexperienced
characters and without traditional prelude. "The Runes of Oblivion"
await you in the Downloads. Go grab 'em!
And as always: don't forget to HAVE FUN!!
24.02.2010 - Un Gioco di Ruolo All'Antica published by Wildboar

With
the French version of Dungeonslayers being just a few weeks old, we are
happy to announce that the third translation has just been released by
the Italian publisher
Wildboar.
Wildboar is
kicking off a year of exclusive roleplaying goodies for the italian
community starting with the publishing of the Ruolo All'Antica to
celebrate their fifth birthday.
Pay the nice folks at
Wildboar - being the
publishers of Traveller, Exalted, Witchcraft and Hellywood in Italy - a visit if you
speak Italiano or just enjoy some good old mediterranean flair on your
character sheets!
Until then, as always: Buon divertimento!
17.02.2010 - Wilderness-2-Go
 Welcome
to the newest not-so-dungeony fast food dungeon!
Instead, we want to take you on a leisurely stroll through the Night of
the Damned. Idyllic forest lakes and gushing waterfalls await you - gaze
with astonishment at friendly abominations and have a boating tour on
the side.
Furthermore, we offer the usual bashing and thrashing, lots of loot,
innocent evildoers, classical conjurations and depraved machinations.
This for levels 9-12, to fend off any complaints.
As always, you'll find the newest Dungeon-2-Go under
Downloads - have a lot of fun!
09.02.2010 - L'update and Dungeons-2-Come
There has been a small update to the french
version, improving the text layout and correcting an error in the
credits.
Meanwhile, our new crack DS-Translation Team has successfully beaten the
first linguistic monstrosities of the lower levels and returned with
loads of loot to the surface.
So get ready for a new introductory amnesia adventure,
forest demons and ancient elven ruins - until then, as always, have fun!
08.02.2010 - Le jeu de rôle à l'ancienne
Almost
a year has passed since the first messages were heard from France of
the intent to translate Dungeonslayers into their native language.
Only a few weeks went by until the first draft reached Germany.
But sadly, the layout wasn't that easy and turned out to be problematic,
mainly due to the French sentences turning out to be much longer than
their English or German counterparts.
Some frustrating pages later, the french version migrated, more and
more in the direction of the filing cabinet - to be slowly forgotten in
the end....
Completely forgotten?
No, not completely, since some resilient French stuck to their guns and
took matters back into their own hands, proofread the text anew and even
made the layout to finally create a PDF - et voilá:
Le jeu de rôle à l'ancienne is completed -
sincere thanks go to James "Arasmo" Manez from
the Scriptorium
and Olivier Boyaval!
The Polish version announced in the meantime will be layouted right on
the spot - so delays made in Germany won't have a chance this time.
08.01.2010 - Setting-2-Come
Announced last summer, the fair copy of "Valngress - City of Ruins"
has arrived!
Once again Marcus Bone, author of the DS supplement "Into the Breach",
has outdone himself. His City of Ruins promises to be an ideal backdrop
for dungeon crawling campaigns, interesting not just for Game Masters of
the old-fashioned roleplaying game.
We are presently working out the last kinks so it can go online soon and
be raided by your parties. Get prepared!
Until then - as always - have fun!
25.12.2009 - The Queen of Blackriver
Merry
Christmas!
The third Dungeon-2-Go is online: "The Queen of Blackriver" by Bob Bretz is a classic dungeon crawl
for beginning characters of levels 1-4.
Explore the underground complex
of a hideous creature whose gaze turns living creatures to stone!
The third fast-food-Dungeon is also the first official DS-Dungeon not written in the Old World
- a big "Dankeschön" to Beltsville!
This one-page-dungeon requires Monster Mash.
19.12.2009 - McDungeon Number Two
In the second Dungeon-2-Go, the fearless heroes will descend into the
tomb of an old Witch King, where treacherous traps and deadly dangers
await.
This 1-page adventure can comfortably be played in one session, but the
characters should have reached at least 4th level if they are to be
more than cannon fodder.
So whet your blades, string up your bows and ready your spells - the
tomb of the Witch King awaits you...
Have fun down there!
19.10.2009 - Dungeonslayers 3.5
It is finally done - Dungeonslayers 3.5 has been fully translated into
English. Aside from a few minor changes that have already been posted,
some translation errors with spell modifiers and the natural healing
rates have been fixed.
But that's not all: the character sheet has been updated and now
features text fields for initiative and speed.
Enjoy!

25.08.2009 -
More Monsters!
Half of the fun in every Dungeonslayers game are the many monsters that
the player characters may encounter (or slay - for example).
To make the gamemaster's job a bit easier (and the player's job harder),
Monster Mash by Tim Hartin from
Paratime Design contains over 40 new
monsters for use in every Dungeonslayers Campaign:
Ghostly Banshees, two-headed Ettins, one-eyed Cyclops and slimy Ochre
Blobs await!
So grab some pencils, paper and dice - get ready to fill your dark
dungeons and let your players fight the monsters that lurk
in here.
Thanks a lot, Tim!
03.08.2009 -
Into the Breach
Draw your weapons!
The first English supplement for Dungeonslayers - "Into the breach"
by Marcus Bone - is online. Marcus added some very nice, optional rules
to the combat system of Dungeonslayers - a big "Dankeschön" to
New Zealand.
The PDF is packed with advanced combat rules for advanced Monsterkillers
and Dungeonslayers, so click and get your copy of "Into the Breach"
now!
Meanwhile we already work at the second english supplement called Monster Mash
by Tim Hartin, which will be released later this month. Feel free to
subscribe to our
RSS-Feed for the latest news about the old-fashioned roleplaying
game.
27.07.2009 - Changes from 3.0 to 3.5
The
German edition of Dungeonslayers has been updated to version 3.5 some
weeks ago. It wasn't a big update - just a few minor things were corrected.
Now - a few weeks later - Mike Percival searched the German forums,
picked up all the update notes (including the changed spells) and translated them into a PDF document, so
that you can use the 3.5 changes in your game!
As always you can find the PDF in our download
section.
03.06.2009 -
Creature Works
Bill Heckler has created a new supplement: Creature Works - a bestiary
of sorts that can be printed on standard playing cards.
Need a wandering monster? Works great!
What lurks behind the door? Just shuffle and draw!
This is the first installment for Dungeonslayers not made in germany and
being published in english first - thanks a lot, Bill!
13.04.2009 - Shield & Banner
Behold
the Dungeonslayers gamemaster shield, the solution for all troubled
gamemasters who are constantly fighting with those long and extremely
complicated rules!
The gamemaster shield (no, we didn't have enough material for a real
gamemaster screen) lists all important rules and tables for your
convenience and can be used to separate the gamemaster's
territory from the players' part of the table!
You can get the
gamemaster shield in our download section.
If you want to link to us (or if you want to waste some toner), check
out our new Dungeonslayers banners.
31.03.2009
- Le jeu de rôle à l'ancienne and Wikislayers
Today, after three weeks of translation work, the French version of
Dungeonslayers struck home.
James Manez put his shoulder to the wheel and worked like a pro - the
only things left to do are adjusting the layout of the jeu de rôle à
l'ancienne, and les personnages tuent des monstres et pillent des
catacombes.
For that, a big merci goes out to Clermont-Ferrand!
Another big "Thank you!" goes to Oklahoma, where Michael Garcia started
a
Dungeonslayers-Wiki. Everybody is invited to post their own variants
of the rules or ideas in order to collect them for others to use and to
take part in the diverse translation projects.
Have a look, there is already some stuff online.

25.03.2009 - Dungeon2Go #1
You
are in dire need of a dungeon for your next session but you don't have
the time to prepare something on your own? Then the Dungeon2Go
adventures are the right tool for the job!
They are one-paged mini-adventures (in "Lord of the Rats" style) which
drop your players right into the action without further ado. The first
fast-food dungeon is now available in our
download section and focuses on the "Brigands of Lyrkenfenn", which
are hidden somewhere in the swamp of the same name.
But this is only the half of it...
Draw your blade or bow, prepare your spells and have fun!
04.03.2009 - The deed is done!
Only 22 days ago, a small party of fearless adventurers including
Michael "Stargazer" Wolf, Fabian "Sir Slayalot" Mauruschat and
Moritz "Glngnfz"
Mehlem started out on a long and dangerous quest to bring Dungeonslayers
to the world! Especially in the end they received precious advice and
help from fellow adventurer Greyharp. Today they returned victorious to
present the english edition of Dungeonslayers to you.
This marvellous tome is based on the 3rd Edition of the original German
Dungeonslayers rulebook and already includes the latest errata. The PDF
document which can be downloaded for free contains all the rules you
need to play Dungeonslayers including the introductory adventure "Lord
of the rats"!
The english edition of Dungeonslayers is dedicated to the memory of Gary
Gygax, the co-creator of Dungeons & Dragons, who passed away one year
ago.
"One more thing: don’t spend too much time merely reading. The
best part of this work is the play, so play and enjoy!" - Gary Gygax
27.02.2009 - Dungeonslayers
on the march
Welcome to Dungeonslayers, an easy to learn and fast-moving
RPG, in which the characters are
slaying monsters
and looting dungeons in an archaic and old-fashioned way. The
Dungeonslayers rules can be downloaded for free and are licensed under the creative commons,
which means you can expand it yourself by writing your own content or supplements.
While we finish the final pages you can already learn about the
rules of Dungeonslayers and take a closer
look at the character sheet in our download section.
So, let’s put on the chainmail once again, draw your blade or dig up the spell book, the next dungeon and
its monstrous hordes await your return.
